Library Information Desk Assistant

During my time at the Santa Fe Springs City Library, my position was listed as "Library Information Desk Assistant". I was required to assist patrons with their reference needs and help the librarians prepare for programs, and create a positive environment for the patrons. However, I received more opportunities to grow my skills in librarianship than I could have ever hoped for as an assistant.

Along with my reference duties, I assisted in the Children's Services Department, participated in historical research and archiving, planned programs, wrote grants, and so much more! Please refer to the Children's Services and Preservation pages for more details of my work.
